New Kitchen for Loans Hall
LCCL has at last secured funding for a new kitchen for Loans Village Hall with assistance from South Ayrshire Council. Work is scheduled to begin on Saturday 6th July and planned to take a week. As a consequence, the hall will be closed temporarily and should re-open on Monday 15th July.
LCCL and hall users have been living with inadequate kitchen facilities for many years and the new one will be an enormous improvement. This latest project is part of the community company's plans to upgrade and refurbish the building and provide better facilities. In the past few years, LCCL has painted inside and outside, installed new windows and a new boiler.
Funding has also been secured to restore the wall on Main Street and it is hoped this work will proceed in the near future.
Meanwhile, work to erect the Men's Shed for the Wednesday Social Hub group should be going ahead this week.
You see, progress is being made . . . slowly but surely!
