Turbine decision appealed

Planning Application Ref No: 13/00758/APP

South Ayrshire Planning turned has down the application by Fine Energy to erect a wind turbine at Collenan Farm. In the refusal letter, dated 24 January, the reason given is that "the proposal is contrary to the Ayrshire Joint Structure Plan, as it would have an adverse effect on aviation interests and no appropriate mitigation measures have been identified that would overcome or minimise the problem to an acceptable extent. Furthermore it is considered that the application proposal would also be contrary to the [the policy] which identifies Glasgow Prestwick Airport as a significant driver in the Ayrshire economy."

Fine Energy has appealed the decision, which is now referred to the Scottish Government. Representations can be made directly to:
