Help Support our Village Hall

Our village hall can’t run itself and risks being closed without volunteers!  We have to show that the whole Loans community supports the plans to modernise the hall and has the ability to manage it in future.  As we take over full responsibility for the hall, help is needed in several ways:

Join us!

The first thing you can do is become a member of our company to show your interest and support.  There is no membership fee and no formal obligation on you to do more.  But, importantly, it will show potential funders that our community wants to keep and improve its village hall.

Operations Team

The hall needs a group of people to plan for the future, to manage and maintain it, take bookings, decide what to charge, collect the income and pay the bills.  The hall needs to be insured, maintained and repaired.  And a caretaker is required to open and shut the hall. Would you be interested in participating or helping oversee this work?

Advice and Ideas

We need to raise money for the building work and shall be looking at potential funding sources, like the Big Lottery and several others.  Could you help us apply for funding, or offer advice from your own knowledge or experience?

We want the hall to be used more and attract more users.  There’s lots of potential to have additional activities for all ages and interests – it just needs a few people with ideas and the ability to organise.  Could that be you?

Potential

Loans is a great wee village and the village hall is at the heart of our community.  We want the hall to be a resource for the whole community and for many years to come.  So, please support us and help in any way you can to realise the ambitions for our hall, our village and our community.

We don’t have all the answers. Your thoughts and ideas are just as important.  So, whoever you are and whatever age – young or older, please let us know what you think!  And if you can help in any way, please contact us.
