Our Village, Our Community
Our Community may be small but it has a long and proud history. Look around and you’ll see lots of reminders of the past. Loans has a close relationship with Troon and Dundonald, but still holds on to a distinct identity.

With no school or church, the Village Hall is the heart of our community and there’s something going on there most days.

The hall is managed by a charitable company, Loans Community Centre Limited (LCCL), on behalf of the community, by volunteer directors. You can find out more information, including how to book the hall here.

Loans also has a Community Council who meet on the second Wednesday of each month (excluding December, January, June and July). All interested parties are welcome to attend these meetings which are held in the Village Hall at 7pm and usually last around an hour. You can find out more information on the Community Council and access minutes from our meetings here.

This is a new and evolving website so we’re keen for input from local users on content that might be useful for both this website and for our Life in Loans Facebook page.
